A More Sustainable Way to Shop…
Rooted in Real Life

Welcome to Refill Pantry SD! I’m Claudia, founder, refill-enthusiast, and someone who’s always believed that sustainability should feel natural, affordable, and accessible to everyone.

For me, living low-waste didn’t come from a trend; it came from my childhood. Growing up Latino, sustainability was just… life. We reused containers without thinking twice, saved every glass jar, bought in bulk at mercados, shared and donated clothes, and made the most of whatever we had. It wasn’t called “eco-friendly.” It was simply being resourceful, mindful, and community-centered.

Years later, in 2020, while running Porchlight Community Services, every volunteer shift highlighted a problem: we go through so much single-use plastic without noticing it, and trying to shop responsibly is expensive and overwhelming. For those of us with sensitive skin and tight budgets, finding affordable, safe, low-waste products felt even harder, with few bulk or environmentally-friendly options available.

Refill Pantry SD was born to solve that. Our mission is to make sustainable living simple and accessible,  offering affordable, low-waste, skin-safe, eco-friendly products that let people make better choices without the stress or extra packaging.

A space where you can refill everyday essentials, skip the waste, and choose products that are safe for your home, your skin, and the planet. No gatekeeping. No guilt. No pressure to be perfect, just better options for all of us.

Here, sustainability feels familiar, not intimidating. Community is at the heart of everything we do.
And everyone is welcome to refill, reuse, and rethink the way we shop.

Thanks for being here and for choosing a greener, more mindful way forward. Together, we’re creating less waste and more impact, one simple swap at a time.

From hosting clothing swaps to partnering with Porchlight for food rescue, I’m building a local movement, one refill at a time.
